Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Central America in Q2 2024

The second quarter of 2024 saw significant activity in the carpooling and ridesharing app market on the Android platform in Central America. The top five apps—DiDi Rider: Affordable rides, Uber - Request a ride, inDrive. Save on city rides, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, and DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash—demonstrated varied performance in weekly downloads and active users.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 124K in early April and peaking at around 161K in early May. Active users also showed a consistent rise, growing from roughly 4.4M at the start of the quarter to about 4.7M by the end of June.

Uber - Request a ride displayed a robust performance with weekly downloads beginning at about 121K and reaching up to 153K by the end of May. Active users for the app started at approximately 5.7M in early April and increased to around 6M by the end of June.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw moderate growth in downloads, rising from around 96K at the beginning of April to approximately 117K in mid-May. The number of active users fluctuated slightly but maintained a steady range, starting at around 2.4M and ending at about 2.6M by the quarter's close.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced varied weekly downloads, starting at approximately 62K and hitting a peak of around 78K by the end of June. Active users showed a steady increase from about 593K to roughly 617K during the same period.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash had a more fluctuating download trend, beginning with approximately 45K in early April and peaking at around 55K in mid-June. The number of active users grew modestly from around 341K to roughly 362K over the quarter.
